Summer Time

I just sat down today and realized that we only have four in a half weeks left of school. I am going to take one class over the summer but I really can not believe this time is already here. The only plans I have is to go to the beach a few times and then go to New York in June. I am so ready for this trip because I have never been there and have heard nothing but really cool things about it. I also plan on working all summer long so I feel like it will really go by fast. I only have one more year left here at App and I am just blind sided. I can not believe after this summer I will be a senior and then will start grad school. Time please slow down.

Easter Weekend

I am so ready for this weekend. I have not seen my family since Christmas and we are driving to Tennessee for Easter. It will be a short trip but very worth while. We will get there on Friday and since we have class that means I have to drive there from Boone by myself. I hate the drive though because it is 3 in a half hours and seems like it takes forever. I will get there around dinner time on Friday and we are all going to go out for mine, my moms, my aunts and my cousin's birthday. The four of us are April babies. Then on Saturday my little cousin will turn four and we are going to have a birthday party for her. She loves the movie Frozen so we are having a Frozen party. I am so excited! Then on Sunday we will get up and go to church and then go eat lunch together at 1 with my mom's side of the family. Her side of the family is huge and there are about 200 people that come to this lunch. It is so nice to see so many different people. Every year it seems like our family multiplies because everyone is having babies. So once again another busy weekend for me! :)

Movie Time

Today has been a very busy day. I worked this morning at the restaurant and we were super busy. I love my job but Sundays are the worse day of the week to work. You would think that everyone would be nice because they just got out of church, but just to let you know they aren't. Most customers will run your legs off and then not even tip 10%. I finally got home around 5 and wanted to do nothing but watch movies. The first movie I watched today was The Italian Job. I really loved this movie and recommend everyone to watch it if they like action movies. The other movie I watched was Bad Grandpa and this movie was crazy. I had never seen it before but I couldn't believe some of the things that went on in that movie. Now I am movied out and I am about to go to bed.

Internship

In my psychology of parenting class. we have to do twenty service hours at a facility of our choice. I am getting to do my internship at Glenbridge in Boone. This is a nursing and rehabilitation center. Last Thursday I worked with an OT and it was a really cool experience. The fist person we worked with was 92 years old and had hip surgery. We worked with him on maintaing his balance, and trying to strengthen his hip. He was older but had the heart of gold and a drive like no other person I have ever seen. He wants to get better so he can go home with his wife. Today I worked with a SLP and she was helping residents with swallowing their food. Everyone is different but the gentleman today had to have liquid food and he accidentally knocked it of the table and it got all over me. I had to run home and change and now I am about to go to class. My day has already started of adventurous.

On the Go

All I feel like I ever do is run. I honestly feel like I go, go, go. This past weekend was my weekend to work so I drove home Friday worked Saturday and Sunday and then drove back to Boone lastnight. I stayed up really late trying to get homework done because I admit I am a procrastinator. I always make sure that my work is good and it is on time but I will wait until the last minute to do everything. I didn't go to bed until about 2 last night and then got up at 7 to do more work. I usually have three classes on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I am about to start my third one for the day and don't know if I can hold my eyes open for this psychology of parenting class. Oh and I must mention that today is my boyfriend's 21st birthday so I am going to drive to Winston tonight to eat dinner with him and his family and then drive back to Boone. Soooo if tomorrow I look like I am about to fall over... it is probably because I am.

The Beach

Over Spring Break I got to go to Ocean Isle beach, where my boyfriend's beach house is located. It was so nice just to get away for a couple of days. My boyfriend and I went and stayed four nights and then had to come back because both of us had to work. While we were down there we went fishing off the pier. I had never done that before so it was an experience. I like fishing in a pond a whole lot more because you can actually tell when a fish has ahold of your line. We walked on the beach a couple of times but it wasn't very pretty outside so we couldn't lay out in our bathing suits. I cant wait until it gets warmer outside so we can go back and lay in the sun for hours!

Spring Break

This semester has really flew by. I can not believe that we will start our spring break and the end of this week. For spring break I am going to go to the beach for four days and just relax. After I get home from the beach I will probably try to work as much as I can to earn a little spending money. I have to talked to some of my other friends and they are going to go to Panama City Beach in Florida. I have been twice, but never for a spring break. I have heard that it is wild down there and you see many good and bad things. I hope everyone has a great spring break. I can not wait to hear about what everyone does.

The Voice

For about the past four years, I have watched every season of the Voice. All the judges on the show are good but this season has my favorite four. The judges this season are Christina, Adam, Blake, and Pharrell. I feel like each one of these singers are very passionate about what they do and are on the show to actually help people. Sometimes Blake gets on my nerves though because he likes to brag that he has won four times. There have been a few really good contestants, my favorite so far is Ella. If you never have seen the show they are doing the blind auditions right now. All four judges have their backs to the singers and if they like them during the performance they hit their button and turn around. I love this singing show because the judges actually choose the artist from their voice and aren't able to judge them by their looks.

Sooooo Sick

I absolutely hate this weather we have had. It has put my body all out of whack and I have been so sick. Wednesday night my throat was so sore and it took me forever to fall asleep. Around 5 Thursday morning I woke up sick to my stomach and had a really high fever. I went to the doctor and she told me that my tonsils were inflamed and I had a temperature of 102.4. I just rested the rest of the day on the couch. My dad is the sweetest man I know because he drove all the way from home to Boone to get me so he could take care of me. Whenever my dad and I got home, my mom had made my favorite soup, which is broccoli and cheese. I had such a wonderful weekend at home and thought that I was getting better until this morning when I woke up I didn't have a voice. Now I can not speak and when I try to I sound like I am dying. Sorry guys y'all will have to listen to my crazy voice this week.
